Vegan caps work great!
I prefer to make my own supplements and the easiest method to do that is with empty capsules. This time I tried these XPRS Nutra Size 0 Vegan Capsules. Not bad. Actually, no complaints at all. They have a slightly different flavor to them compared to the non-vegan variety, cuz you know I had to try them side by side since I had the opportunity. They dissolve at the same rate. They open and subsequently close fairly easily with slight pressure. None of them have broken open once filled. These vegan caps do seem to crush a little more than the non-vegan ones, I just have to be aware when filling them. Which really, if you’re making your own medicine then absolutely being present for the practice is a good idea, right? I would say if you’re in the market for vegan capsules, these would be a great way to go. The one thing I wish they did (and doesn’t warrant removing stars) is I wish they would add a tamper stick. Luckily I already had one, but it would have been a nice addition. Will I be purchasing these again? Yeah. Good product and a good price. Great combination.

I picked up these vegan empty capsules to pack my own supplements, and overall they work as intended, though there are a few things to keep in mind before you buy.Functionality & Build QualityFor the most part, the capsules are easy to open, fill, and close. They’re also essentially flavorless, which is great if you’re trying to avoid the taste of bitter powders, minerals, or vitamins.However, I did notice some inconsistent fit issues.Once you separate a capsule, some don’t snap fully back together.A few end up slightly squished or misshapen, making them unusable.In my experience, it’s about one defective capsule per six, which isn’t ideal if you’re counting on every piece.When a capsule doesn’t seal correctly, powder can leak out, so I typically set those aside.Compatibility With Powders & LiquidsI’ve used these with both powders and certain liquids:Powders generally work well.Acidic powders (like citric acid) tend to make the capsules a bit tacky or sticky.Neutral powders (like baking soda) don’t cause any issues.With liquids, the success rate varies depending on the thickness and composition. Some worked fine; others softened the capsule too quickly.For best results, these seem suited for immediate-use capsules rather than long-term storage.Extras & Ease of UseThese don’t come with any filling tools, so if you’re planning to do larger batches, you may want to pick up a capsule-filling tray or scoop. Worked great and perfect for what I need it for. Was wondering about the size difference from what I was using to this one but they were identical, perfect size. . No could odor or taste. Easy to digest for my vitamins and nutrients I’m taking for trying to lose weight.

Great for those who cannot swallow pills easily
When I first saw these I wasn’t sure exactly what I would use them for and then I realised they would be the perfect size for me to slide pills in since I have challenges swallowing them. It’s a very effective solution as they accommodate reasonable size tablets with a smooth texture but dissolve easily in the stomach with no disruption. They have absolutely no smell or discernible taste. I can’t really speak to any skin health benefits, however they are gelatin so surely there is some there. If you take multiple pills a day this is a great way of swallowing them all at once without them getting caught in your throat!
