A little goes a long way
In a conversation with some ladies about hair loss and brittle hair that can happen during mid-life changes, one of them mentioned batana oil. So when I saw that one of my favorite skincare brands had a batana oil product, I was definitely open to trying it.One thing to know about my hair is that it is thin and fine, I have an oily scalp, and I am experiencing some hair loss. My hair is a little longer than chin length. From my earlier conversation, I knew I would only need a very small amount. The first time I tried it, I took about ½ teaspoon of oil from the container, but that ended up being too much and I had to use a clarifying shampoo to remove the excess. The next time, I used slightly over ¼ teaspoon and that amount worked well for my scalp. The oil has a nutty-like scent to it that is not unpleasant. If you plan to leave it on overnight, I recommend wearing a bonnet or wrapping your hair. If you apply it to the ends and leave it overnight, you may also want to protect your pillow since this oil can stain.I have been using the product for about three weeks, which is not long enough for me to say whether it affects hair growth since that would take more time to evaluate. What I can say is that my scalp feels less dry and the ends of my hair feel smoother and look shinier since I began using batana oil. It is something I plan to continue using to see if I notice further changes.

My hair already looks and feels healthier. Definitely recommend.
As I age (59) I find my hair needs more care than it used to. I’ve always had coarse hair but until recently only used shampoo. Cheap shampoo. Now I find I need to add conditioner into the mix as it’s getting a little brittle. For reference I have long hair down to my butt and all one length. As mentioned it’s coarse. It’s average thickness. I do not dye my hair nor do I perm it. It’s about 25% gray with the rest being very light brown…almost a dirty blonde. My gray hair is no different in texture than my non-grays.I usually wash my hair every other day, let it air dry, then add some mousse and scrunch for volume. This makes it look like I have a thick head of hair…as in about three times the amount I really have. Think 80s hair with volume lol. And it will hold for a day or two…three if I’m really being lazy and have nowhere to go lol.I am trying different things to moisturize my hair. I’m finding that some conditioners leave my hair very limp no matter how much I rinse it out. I saw this Batana Oil from Maree and decided to give it a try.Batch #, manufacturing date….11/8/2025 and expiration date…11/7/2028 stamped on bottom of jar and bottom of box. YAY….love to see it in both places because who keeps the box?!I did a little research on Batana oil before I started slathering my hair with it. A little goes a LONG WAY!! There are several ways you can use this product for hair care and all are printed on the box. I went with the put a little in, let it set for about 15 minutes then wash hair. I started at about 2-3″ down from my roots. I used this sparingly but could almost feel my hair soak it in.There is a very LIGHT scent. I can’t quite put my finger on it but it is in no way strong or overpowering and once I washed my hair the smell was gone. When letting my hair air dry I did not find this to weigh down my hair, make it look or feel greasy or anything else I thought an oil might do. When my hair was dry….but before I added mousse….I did notice it appeared there were slightly fewer fly aways so that oil is doing some moisturizing. It did not leave my hair stiff and adding/using my mousse…doing my regular routine….did not change or affect it with use of this.Since I don’t wash my hair every day and I have been using this very sparingly I have experienced absolutely no build up at all but my hair after 4 uses…every other day…does seem far more healthy looking and better moisturized than when I was using conditioner.I think the price is more than fair and if this continues to make my hair less brittle I will continue to buy this after I use up this jar….which with the little amount you need each time…..should last for quite some time. For me it’s definitely a 5 star product.

Amazing natural oil to moisturize skin and hair
I have naturally curly long blonde hair which is really pretty, for about a minute, right after I get out of the shower. As soon as I brush it, most of the curls are gone. Once my hair dries and I start to move or touch my hair in any way, it becomes a magnet for static electricity which completely zaps any remaining curl. At this point, it looks thin and frizzy and becomes so unmanageable that I end up tying it back in a ponytail. So much for looking lovely!A friend told me that it sounded like my hair was super dry and needed moisturizing. I tried several conditioners and oils that didn’t help and also made my hair feel disgusting and look horrible. My efforts have been a total disaster! And then I tried this batana oil paste. I had never heard of it before or used any type of paste on my hair so my expectations were somewhat low. Wow! This stuff is absolutely amazing! Since my hair was so incredibly dry, I decided to do the leave-in approach and not just overnight. I applied it twice a day from the middle to the ends, but not on my scalp for fear of looking greasy. I made sure to dampen my hair first. Instead of getting thick and sticky, I could tell it was working right away. My hair absorbed the botana oil with a thirst like someone finding water in the desert. Almost immediately my hair started to feel soft, silky and much less staticky. It’s practically a miracle! I’m so excited to have found a natural product that does what it claims to do. I expect continuous improvement from my daily applications. Properly moisturized hair is more manageable, softer and looks fuller because it has more body.I started to experiment with putting it on other dry skin areas and it’s been extremely helpful for my hands, feet and dry lips. The botana oil has a slight nutty odor and no noticeable taste. A little bit goes a long way so this jar will last a very long time. This is not a product that you scoop out like ice cream. My method of application is to make sure my hands are warm and then lightly brush my fingers across the surface of the paste. Then I run my fingers through slightly dampened hair. It picks up just enough oil to moisturize and soften without looking the slightest bit greasy. I’m so impressed with this product that I have been sending links to all my friends and telling them to get some immediately! The price for this particular brand is one of the best I have seen anywhere. Highly recommended!
