Good find and value.
Nice replacement for (inaccurate) tracker. Wore both for several days to test the reliability. FIT 3 won hands down every category. The only issue has the occasional disconnect from the app but not a deal breaker. Good battery life.

Great fitness tracker with some smartwatch capabilities
Great fitness band with limited smartwatch features. The Galaxy Fit 3 is more of a fitness tracker than smartwatch, but it does have some smart watch features. Primarily, you can see texts that you receive on your watch, and call notifications. The big differences between this and a smartwatch are that you can’t make calls, and it is wifi only, so doesn’t have full functionality without a paired phone. The tracking modes are all at least as accurate, if not more accurate than fitbit trackers, and the battery will last a good 3-5 days based on use.If you are looking for a fitbit replacement, this is a great option, especially for samsung users (I do not have an iphone, so couldn’t test it within that ecosystem). If you are looking more for a stand-alone smartwatch, you probably want to look at something else.

The fitbit killer
My wife and I have been fitbit fans since the Charge 2 (2016). Before the google purchase, fitbit was a strong leader in lower cost fitness trackers. It did concern us that our fitbits would die frequently (nearly each one we had died within a year from the Charge 2, 3, 4). However after talking with customer service they would send us replacement. So, ok, we can deal with that. (Even though in the past few years you had to provide a ton of documentation including, IIRC, your drivers license.)I had a fitbit 6 that I got for Christmas 2024. Wow, a color screen. LOL. I needed a replacement as the screen on my Charge 5 kept getting dimmer, and dimmer, to the point when I could not read it outdoors and barely indoors. So I was gifted the Charge 6 and it was big step up. But it took me a few months until I realized that the floors option was gone, not just not working, but removed, to make space for other features I could care less about. So I looked around in late June and discovered the Fit 3. So I bought one. I am SO GLAD I did. What do I need? Step counter, heart rate, floors, distance, calories. Oh, and the kicker for me was AIRPLANE MODE. I study various energetic sciences including BioGeometry and the EMF coming from our devices is not benign. I don’t wear a tracker to sleep, don’t want anything live, and keep my blue tooth turned off unless I am actively syncing. This is what I see comparing Fit 3 to Fitbit Charge 6. What the Fit 3 has as an advantage: Larger screen, airplane mode, beautiful faces, much cleaner UI on the watch and in the android app(s) (I am using this with a Pixel 7 phone). The ability to sync only turning on bluetooth. A few years ago fitbit/google basically said we aren’t syncing your fitbit unless you have both location/GPS and bluetooth turned on. Sometimes you could get the fitbit to sync with location off but this was tricky/spotty.What advantages did the Charge 6 have for me, personally. None really. It cost about 3x the amount for the Charge 6 compared to the Fit 3. That’s ridiculous. In a head to head comparsion of measurements this is what I see. Fitbit Charge is often slower to start your step counts and the Fit 3 is quicker on that. So you steps counts are going to go up and perhaps the Fit 3 does count some arm motions as steps when it should not. But the Fit 3 is still very close (within 1-3%) with the Charge 6. The Fit 3 tends to undercount calories compared to the Charge 6, I can’t tell which is more accurate. On the Charge 6 bluetooth syncing was always a laborious pain taking sometimes minutes to get the past few days of data and often having to turn bluetooth off/on and/or restarts to get it to sync. The Fit 3 is very fast *most* of the time. I did have one instance where the Fit 3 was not syncing in the Health App and I had to open the Wearable app and trigger a sync from there, which worked. The big thing is battery life. I have automatic activity tracking turned on and except when syncing in the evening I keep it on airplane mode. I charged it overnight last Thursday/Friday before I first put it on. It’s now Wednesday evening, nearing 6 complete days of use and my battery level is at 55%. That frugal energy use is really good and is on par with the earlier monochrome fitbits.I am very pleased with my Fit 3 purchase. Back in the early to mid 2000’s I was very excited about Timex was doing just in digital watches (Iron Man, etc). The Fit 3 harkens back to those kind of days for me when you could get a very full functionality wrist device that looked good, worked great, and was a good deal. This is definitely worth a close look if you don’t need an higher priced fitness/communication device that is emitting EMFs into your pericardium meridian 24×7. Well done.

Good hardware but poor software!
Update 4:I have been wearing my Samsung Galaxy Fit daily for close to 2 years and it is still working fine. What a great value!Update 3:Samsung released a third software update for the Fit3 about 2 weeks ago in March 2025 that supposedly fixed minor bugs. I have not noticed anything different after this update. I still see minor bugs such as the watch displaying that all goals have not been met for a particular day even though they were met. After owning and wearing the Samsung Fit3 every day for a year, it has been very reliable and has definitely been worth the $60 that I paid for it.Update 2:Samsung released a second software update for the Fit3 on September 19 that finally fixed the major software issues. After installing it, my step count from my watch now syncs correctly with the Samsung Health app on my phone and is no longer being randomly reset to zero. Additionally, the watch maintains a more reliable Bluetooth connection now to my phone. Due to these 2 significant improvements, I’m increasing my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. After owning the watch for over six months, I am quite happy with my purchase now that the software issues have been finally fixed.Update:On July 23, 2024, Samsung released a software update for the Fit3 aimed at fixing bugs related to syncing and connectivity. However, after installing this update and reinstalling the Samsung Health app, my band began experiencing endless reboots! To resolve this, I had to uninstall the Samsung Health app again. What a disaster of an update!Original Review:The best thing about the Samsung Fit3 watch is the bright and responsive AMOLED screen. I also love how comfortable it is to wear because the watch has a compact body and weighs in at only 1.3 ounces including the soft silicone watch straps. To activate the watch when you first get it, you must first download the Samsung Wearable app to your phone, available on Android only. So unfortunately, the Samsung Fit3 will not work with iPhones. The battery lasts about 4 days at maximum brightness with all features enabled, no where near the claimed 13 days. While step count, heart rate, and oxygen measurements seem accurate, calorie and sleep tracking are often incorrectly underestimated. You can respond to messages with pre-set replies and access weather and remote control from the watch. It also includes fall detection and emergency calling features that I haven’t tested.Activating health features requires downloading a separate app, the Samsung Health app, this is when problems arise. The Fit3 struggles with syncing to the Samsung Health app; instead of updating step counts from the watch to the app, it transfers outdated numbers from the app back to the watch, causing lost step counts. Many Reddit users report similar issues, but Samsung customer support has been unhelpful.I purchased this watch primarily for tracking basic functions like auto step tracking and heart rate monitoring. Once the watch is activated, these features work independently of the Health app. So to avoid the step syncing issue, I deleted the Health app after installation. The Samsung Fit3 watch also struggles to maintain the Bluetooth connection to my phone. I would often have to reconnect a few times a day.I hope Samsung will address the syncing and Bluetooth problems in the future with software updates. However, I’m content using the Fit3 for its basic functions straight from the watch and not refer to the 2 apps.In summary, if you have an Android phone and want a very lightweight fitness watch from a reputable manufacturer with an excellent screen that doesn’t require daily charging and if you don’t need advanced features like NFC or GPS, I would recommend the Fit3 as a great value at the present price of $60.PS: In the first pictures that I uploaded, I have a screen protector on my Fit3 that I highly recommend: Fvlerz Case Compatible with Samsung Galaxy Fit 3. The case fits the watch perfectly and doesn’t add any bulk.

Impressed by the function at this price point. Love this watch
Love this watch. I was reluctant on buying any of these smart watch because I don’t really like feeling the pressure of having so much information that I get obsessed with, but I started working out and decided it will be useful to see my progress. Since I have a Samsung phone, decided to go with this one. The price is really good, but the device is even better. Good tracking, good battery life and easy to understand. Bonus,I can now find my phone anytime (bad habit of not knowing where I left my phone). Very happy with this purchase.

The Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 is a very good watch that syncs with the Samsung Health app. You can personalize what you want to show on your watch, including real time 24/7 heart rate monitoring which is great for those with POTS (postural tachycardia). Tracks max/min heart rate too. Large screen is easy to use, and there are lively colours vs boring black & white. And the regular price is awesome based on everything the watch comes with! This is my 3rd Samsung Galaxy Eatch and I’m very happy with it.

I bought at 1/2 the usual price. At this price a bargain, $69 AUD. I wouldn’t recommend buying at full price.Basically1/ I had read/watched good reviews of the pixel watch 3, so I got one. However, battery life & HRM were awful plus the fitbit app just spewed out complete nonsense. So, I returned it.2/ I have decided after many tries that fitness watches just tell you nonsense because ( fitbit, pixel, samsung, garmin) base nearly all the metrics on optical HRM. Which for me just goes to pieces during vigorous activity, or outdoors , or with HITT/weight training/climbing. Just combine the 3 & the HRM monitoring is just ludicrously bad.3/ Please don’t give me advice about clean the sensor, tighten the band, you skin colour and or hair on your arm. All of these things aren’t either changeable, and/or I am trying to exercise & focus on the task at hand not babysit someone’s shoddy technology. They are sold as working but they just don’t.4/ So, I bought this cheap, changed the watch face to not show HRM, and use it as a watch, alarm, step counter & sleep monitor. I never log exercise on it. Absolutely perfect for this purpose.5/ Much happier now. Working hard during exercise and not distracted by bogus watch metrics.
