This Machine Hits the Sweet Spot!
I was lookin for a notebook that was around 13-14 inches. I saw a review from Action Retro on YT. Geekom was the sponsor and sent him a Geekbook to review.. Action Retro gave an honest review of the Geekbook 14. He did not let the fact that they were sponsoring his video influence his review. I was pleased with what sounded like a decent notebook. I also liked the fact that he installed WINUX (A Linux flavor) on it. That made me pull the trigger and I was pleasantly surprised. This machine is designed well. Built tough and no Windows 11 bloatware!. I booted up the first time using windows. It boots quick and the screen is sharp and clear. It’s nice and light. The battery is also good. I’ve left it sleeping for three days. opened the lid and still had 80%. I left it playing YT videos for about four hours and only used 25% of the battery. Battery usage obviously depends on what you do with it. It can game pretty well although not like a true gaming machine. But, that’s not what it was made for. Since I bought the 2TB model I split the storage and installed ZorinOS 18 Pro alongside of Windows. Dual boot works perfect. Zorin Linux and Windows (without bloatware) run very well.To sum up, This is a great choice for a daily driver. A durable machine that handles most tasks with ease. Another plus, lots of memory. You get 32Gig and 1TB or 2TB of storage out of the box. Also a dongle with extra ports to plug in.

Purchased “GEEKOM GeekBook X14 Pro” laptop last month to replace my 6 year old Lenovo X1 Thinkpad.Came across this laptop on tech blogs that I follow (itpro.com, techradar.com) and decided to take a chance as I hadn’t heard of the Geekom brand.It was a tremendous value at this price point, only downside being an unknown brand.So far it is doing an admirable job and am quite happy with my decision to get this laptop from Amazon.It is super lightweight, using it on my daily commute now for the last few weeks and don’t feel it’s presence in my backpack. Battery is holding up well over the day, even without charging it during the day.Has a premium look and feel and the specs are great – premium OLED screen, 32GB, 2TB. It came with a extra one year warranty (total 2 years) and a little mini dock.Haven’t really used the mini dock, since I have my own full fledged docking station at home.Overall, this laptop is a great value at this price point, especially with the 2 year warranty.

Geekom X14 performs well, camera issue with Windows Hello sign in not a deal breaker
I purchased this as a lightweight travel computer. It was on sale and had very good reviews. So far, it has been a good travel computer, is fairly quick, has a great keyboard with good tactile response on the keys. It has a bright and very clear screen (be aware that it is not a touch screen) and the track pad works very well – one of the best I’ve ever used such that I don’t really feel the need to use a mouse or trackball. The battery life is pretty decent since I can use it, leave it in sleep mode and come back to my work working off and on all day. I’ve been verry pleased with it. The only quibble at the moment is that Windows Hello facial recognition sign in option is not available because it doesn’t find a compatible camera. The camera is recognized by Windows when I look at the camera options – though it calls it a USB camera, and it works with Zoom so I’m not too bothered. The noise and heat levels are excellent. So after 1 month – I’d say that it was definitely worth the price.

Lightweight, fast, and great battery life
I’ve been really happy with this laptop so far. It’s light and easy to carry around but still has plenty of power for what I need.Performance has been great. It boots up quickly thanks to the SSD and mine came with 32GB of RAM, which definitely helps keep everything running smooth. I’ve had Fusion 360 open along with 15 to 20 Chrome tabs and it handled everything without slowing down. Overall it feels fast and responsive.Battery life is also very good and it charges quickly with the included charger, which has been a big plus for me.One thing I didn’t expect to like as much as I do is the fingerprint reader. It’s fast, reliable, and honestly works better for me than Windows Hello facial recognition. I also haven’t had any issues with heat. Even under load it stays cool, which is impressive for how thin and light it is.A couple small downsides. The touchpad just isn’t my favorite. It doesn’t feel as smooth as I’d like and sometimes doesn’t pick up clicks as well as it should. The speakers are also a bit underwhelming, but that’s pretty typical for a laptop this size.Overall, if you’re looking for a thin, lightweight laptop that still performs well, this has been a great option.

Great laptop, but poor battery life is a major issue.
Good laptop, the screen looks great, the keyboard is easy to type on, the trackpad works well. Performance is good as expected, with plenty of room given the 32GB memory and 2TB disk. The big problem with this laptop is battery life, it is nowhere near the 16 hours the listing claims, in my testing with reasonable loads and screen set to about 50% brightness the battery died within 5 hours or so. Definitely not a laptop that would last a work day without charging it.

Up until now it has not heated up much and it is very versatile and I am able to connect to two external monitors. Als Kaufentscheidung für das GEEKOM GeekBook X14 Pro Laptopstanden für mich primär folgende Kriterien im Vordergrund: Laptopkategorie – OLED 2.8k Display – Performance – ausreichende SSD Speicherkapazität (2TB) bei gleichzeitiger Beachtung des Preisleistungsverhältnisses. Natürlich spielte auch der Gesamteindruck hinsichtlich Optik + Haptik, Solidität und Qualität bei gleichzeitig adäquater Akkuleistung eine mitentscheidende Rolle. Ob die vom Hersteller angegebene Akkuleistung von 16 Stunden erreicht werden, möchte ich ein wenig bezweifeln; denn gerade der relativ leistungsstarke I9 Ultra Prozessor und das 2.8k OLED-Display fordern schon ihren Tribut an Akku-Kapazität. Realistischer sind eher 10 bis 12 Stunden im Normalbetrieb – für mich aber soweit völlig ausreichend und somit okay. Mag sein, dass bei Aktivierung aller stromsparender Maßnahmen die 16 Stunden in etwa erreicht werden, aber wer will zB schon permanent bei minimalster OLED Beleuchtung mit dem Laptop arbeiten?Ein gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis bei der Auswahl eines für mich geeigneten Laptop war ebenfalls ein wichtiges Kaufargument (gerade auch im Vergleich zu anderen Herstellern in diesem Segment, die oft mehrere hundert ..teilweise sogar bis zu 1000€ teurer sind), da ich nicht geneigt bin, überhöhte Markenpreisaufschläge zu bezahlen. Insbesondere auch die sehr gute Displayqualität mit 2.8k OLED bis zu 120Hz, sowie die darüber hinaus gehend sehr kompakte und sehr leichte Bauweise (999g) haben mich beim GeekBook völlig überzeugt. Das Laptop ist von daher besonders mobil- und reisetauglich. Ebenfalls gefällt mir das schlanke und stylisch schicke Design in Verbindung mit dem Magnesiumgehäuse, welches das Geebook Ultra zu einem ein richtigen Handschmeichler macht. Auch wenn es natürlich leistungsstärkere (aber im Vergleich wesentlich teurere) Geräte in diesem Segment gibt, steht bei mir im Vordergrund idR immer auch die Frage, wofür brauche ich so einen Laptop eigentlich im Alltagsleben? Diese Frage sollte sich natürlich ein jeder selbst ehrlich beantworten, der bereit ist, sich einen Laptop in der 1000€ bis 1500€ Kategorie (in meinem Fall ca.1350€) zu investieren. Grundsätzlich gesehen, habe ich aber in leistungs-technischer Hinsicht schon eine gewisse Tendenz in die Richtung gehend „besser haben und nicht brauchen, als brauchen und nicht haben“. Angemerkt sei noch, dass ich absolut kein Gamer bin und von daher auch keine entsprechende Spitzenleistung seitens der Hardware benötige. Wichtig für mich sind auch schnelle Datenübertragungsraten im WLAN-Bereich, da ein entsprechend hoher Datentraffic zwischen Laptop und einem NAS im WLAN stattfindet. Auch diese Kriterien hat das neue/mein neues GeekBook Ultra (in Verbindung mit meinem Fritz-Router 7690 – WiFi6) voll und ganz erfüllt. Was will man mehr? Auf weitere technische Details habe ich in diesem Kommentar bewusst verzichtet, da man alle benötigten technischen Details ja jederzeit bei Bedarf selbst recherchieren und für persönliche Vergleiche heranziehen kann. Aus diesem Grunde habe ich letztlich die volle Bewertung von fünf Sternen als gerechtfertigt angesehen und entsprechend vergeben, da alle meine Anforderungen durch das GeekBook ULTRA (teilweise über-)erfüllt werden.

Ich bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit dem Laptop. Besonders überzeugt hat mich die hochwertige Verarbeitung sowie das extrem geringe Gewicht, das Gerät ist wirklich angenehm leicht und ideal für den mobilen Einsatz. Genug Anschlüsse gibt es auch. Falls diese aber nicht reichen sollten, gibt es als nettes Extra eine Dockingstation dazu.Die Leistung ist für meinen Alltag völlig ausreichend und läuft zuverlässig. Auch der Akku hält problemlos einen ganzen Tag durch, was im Studium oder im Arbeitsalltag ein großer Vorteil ist.Ein absolutes Highlight ist das wunderschöne 2.8K-OLED-Display. Die Farben sind kräftig, das Bild ist gestochen scharf, hier merkt man sofort den Unterschied zu herkömmlichen Displays.Mit 2 TB Speicher bietet das Gerät mehr als genug Platz, sodass kein Nachrüsten notwendig ist. Auch die 32 GB schnelle LPDDR5-RAM sind in der heutigen Zeit, insbesondere bei steigenden RAM-Preisen, ein großer Pluspunkt und sorgen für ein sehr starkes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.Insgesamt hat mich GEEKOM mit diesem ultrakompakten Gesamtpaket voll überzeugt. Bin aufgrund der guten Bewertungen und der Online-Testberichte auf das geekom GeekBook aufmerksam geworden und meine Erwartungen wurden eher übertroffen: Tolles Display mit kräftigen Farben und gestochen scharfem Bild. Schnelle Datenübertragungsraten im WLAN-Bereich, , insgesamt tolle Ausstattung (u. a. beleuchtete Tastatur, Fingerabdruckscanner, leistungstarke Intel Core Ultra 9 , 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM, 2 TB SSD, kleine Dockingstation inklusive, praktischer Webcam-Schieber) Ultraleicht und dabei tolle Haptik und sehr wertige Verarbeitung. Akku Performance absolut ausreichend auch für einen längeren Arbeitstag. Scharniere butterweich, Laptop lässt sich mit einer Hand problemlos öffnen.
